Version 2016.07.15 and for Linux too!

Today’s update brings a lot of new stuff, including a Linux build. I fully planned on having a DEB installer for Debian-based distros, but there was a problem that I’ll be looking into. Let’s get through a quick summary of what’s new and changed.
  • Created and added Digitalhead Games intro
  • Created chapter 0 of the story. Plays between Digitalhead Games intro and the main menu. It’s also skippable if you don’t care about the story.
  • Created options menu with basic options
    • Retained F10 fullscreen toggle || Removed gamepad fullscreen toggle
  • Bug fixes
  • Faster startup by not forcing fullscreen at start
  • Added selection beeps in options menu
  • Added and configured Linux version
  • Pause key/button will return to menu from options screen
  • Enter key works as select on menu-type screens
  • Changed Light Wave indicator sprite. Now shows better when it’s ready to be used
  • Created and added controls screen at start
    • Can be set to be skipped so it won’t bother you every time you start the game
  • Created controls screen in the options menu
  • Created and added sounds for light wave, light wave hit, enemies hitting Lily
  • Light wave’s cool-down is now reset when you pickup a fresh light wave power-up
This is just a summary of the changes made. For complete details, redundant entries, sarcasm, and jokes, see the full Changelog.txt that is included with both, the full and demo versions in the DOC folder.
Speaking of the demo version, it’s been updated as well. It’s, now, a much better example of what the game will be. And it’s available for Linux too!

You can get the game and demo on Itch.io and Game Jolt.
